Food Allergies and Dietary Restrictions

We do not have Vegetarian/Vegan options. We will be able to accommodate most of food allergies (such as shellfish and gluten) and other dietary restrictions. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding food restrictions via email:

Seating policy:

Our seating capacity is 12 guests (12 table seats) and a few bar seats for single guests (Currently, bar seats are not available except party of one). For the table seats, the largest party size will be party of 8.  Please contact us if your party size will be 5 guests or more. We take reservations up to two months from now.

Please note that we kindly require advance notice of allergies and dietary restrictions to provide you the best dining experience.

To make changes to an existing reservation, please call us at (415)757-0155 or email at

Regardless of eating or not eating, the guest will be charged a full Omakase price per seat.

Bar Seating Policy: (Currently, bar seats are not available except party of one)

(Pre-COVID policy) Since we have a limited number of bar seats and there is a high volume of bar requests, party of 4 and more will be seated at table seats instead of bar seats.  If all table seats are reserved, then large party may be asked to have bar seats.

(Pre-COVID policy) Our bar seats are very limited, so we do not guarantee that you will have bar seats although you have requested.  Bar seats are available upon request only, and the chance of getting bar seats depends on when (how early in advance) the guests make a reservation.  We take reservations up to two months.

Deposit Requirement for Large Parties:

We require $185 deposit for all parties larger than 5 guests or more. The deposit amount will be credited on your dinner bill. The cancellation policy will be applied to cancellations within 72 hours of your reservations ($185 per guest will be automatically charged on your credit card). For the parties smaller than 4 guests, please refer to “Cancellation Policy” below.

Dining Time and Last Order Time: (Currently, Not Applicable)

Our first seating begins between 5:00 pm and all diners will finish dining before 8:00pm.  We encourage our guests to come as on time for the best dining experience.  The second seating starts from 8:00pm.  We will be closing at 10:45pm.

Call to Make a Reservation:

Please give us a call at 415-757-0155 (Wednesday through Sunday from 1:00pm – 4:00pm).  Credit card information is required to hold the reservation (VISA, Master Card, or American Express).

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations within 48 hours of the reservation will be charged $185 per person. We call our guests to confirm reservations ahead of time. However, if the reservation has been cancelled on the same day of the reservation or without prior notice (no show), the guests will be fully charged automatically. If your party is larger than 5, then 72 hours cancellation policy will apply to your reservation. The cancellation fee will be $185 per guest.

Service Charge for Large Parties:

We are adding an automatic service charge (20% of the total amount) on your bill for the party larger than 5 guests.

Dress Code:

Semi formal.  Shorts or sandals are NOT allowed. Please refrain from applying excessive perfume as strong scent may affect the dining experience of other guests.

We do not accommodate children under age of 5 or guests who cannot enjoy our Omakase.  We do not have vegetarian or vegan options.  However, we may be able to accommodate vegetarian or vegan requests if you request at least 5 days in advance, and approved by the chef.  We do not accommodate infants with strollers, high chairs or booster chairs due to the safety reasons.  We serve the same Omakase for children, and it will be $185 per person.

Kusakabe's Corkage Policy:

$50 corkage fee per one 750ml bottle.  The sake/wine must be the bottle that we do not carry on the drink list. Limit to one bottle per two diners.  However, if you purchase a bottle from our drink list, we will waive the $50 corkage fee.

Other Policies:

Please refrain from Smoking or Vaping inside or around the restaurant.

Talking on the cellular phone is not allowed inside the restaurant.

Please ask prior to video recording or taking photos of our staff. We may refuse when it is inappropriate.

We allow our guests to bring in own cake for a special occasion. There will be a cake cutting fee $5 per slice.

About Service Animals and Supporting Animals

All service animals, such as a service dog trained for disability, will be accepted at the restaurant.  Please let us know if you have a service animal with you prior to visiting the restaurant, so we can arrange appropriate seats.

Supporting animals, however, may be refused because we are a small restaurant and we prepare all food in the open kitchen. As San Francisco’s Mayor’s Office on Disability states, “When it comes to private businesses or establishments that sell or prepare food, the state law is unclear; you may be denied access if you have a support animal.”

According to City and County of San Francisco Building Owners and Managers (BOMA), all types of emotional support animals are allowed in public buildings and private housing, but might be restricted from entering hotels, restaurants, and other private businesses.

About Food Safety and Food Poisoning

Food safety is most important for us.  Please note that Sushi contains undercooked or raw ingredients that may be harmful to pregnant women, infants, children, the elderly, and persons with lowered resistance (immune compromised, which may be caused by lack of sleep, fatigue and other reasons).  Some fish may have small bones.
